Catching up Caroline's Count

The aim of this walk was to get Caroline up three Wainwrights that I'd done with Isabelle back in 2019, so that we would be able to complete the full set together.

Difficulty: 6.0
Walkers: Tim, Caroline, Evie (14), Poppy (12), Piper
10:18, 0.0km 0h00 0m, Start (97)
12:02, 4.0km 1h43 428m, Eagle Crag (525, Wainwright)
12:28, 5.0km 2h09 512m, Sergeant's Crag (571, Wainwright)
13:58, 9.4km 3h40 748m, Ullscarf (726, Wainwright, Hewitt)
16:10, 14.4km 5h51 857m, Great Crag (449, Wainwright)
18:00, 19.0km 7h41 880m, End (108)

Walking along the valley path, sorry, stream.

It's super hard to visualise how steep some of these hillside walks are, no scrambing involved, just a steady upwards climb.

Eagle Crag, first Wainwright of the day, and well worth the climb.

Sergeant's Crag, now with added view.

Conditions walking around at the top were not ideal, you can easily see why people get lost...

Ullscaft, where Caroline and I had been earlier that year.

Great Crag, and another opportunity to take on some calories.

Piper demonstrating what a good girl she is going downhill.
